On January 14th, 2018, my father passed away. He always loved Bluejays.
When I heard about the history of Black men in Canadian hockey, I knew that I had to write about it. Too much history has been buried. But thanks to some dedicated and determined individuals such as Kathy Grant, the founder of Legacy Voices, a non-profit organization that promotes the contributions of Canada’s black war veterans, the facts are being unearthed. Here is my small contribution to telling a piece of Canadian history.
