Photography

In 2018, I bought my first DSLR camera and started taking pictures of birds and wildlife. Never could I have predicted how that purchase would change my life. After a couple of years, I upgraded my equipment and spent most of my free time wandering around local parks, where I found wildlife living discreetly among us. I travelled to various areas in Canada where I photographed birds I thought I’d only see on documentaries. The experiences have been priceless, and I learned how to connect with wildlife ethically and without disturbance.

Although I considered wildlife photography a hobby, by request, my photos have been published in Canadian Geographic, The Audubon bird calendars, the Toronto Star, Ontario Birds, a journal of the Ontario Field Ornithologists and the International Hummingbird Society 2026 calendar. I also started speaking to clubs and social groups to share my experiences as a wildlife photographer.

In early 2025, I moved my attention to people, and took up street photography, adding my writing skills to share their stories.
