In early August, I witnessed a woman unleash her Rottweiler and watched as it jumped into a creek scattering a group of ducks. The birds fled in fear and the dog swam in pursuit.
I was across the water, dressed in camo and called over, “Can you please put your dog on a leash?”
She looked around for the source of the voice and replied that she would comply but didn’t move. I loudly repeated the question and walked out in the open. Our eyes met and the altercation escalated.
